Here when you need us
Our Groups

At Whale Song Music Therapy we are proud of our community’s ability to support each other through difficult times. Group music therapy can be incredibly powerful in providing a space for individuals to come together, provide peer support and share what is difficult through music.
We are always interested in working with organisations to develop more music therapy groups in our community and are committed to fundraising to make these groups free and accessible in the community.
Previous groups have included:
- Siblings of children with a disability
- Adults experiencing loneliness and social anxiety following the COVID pandemic
- Children under 5 in the process of receiving a disability or autism diagnosis
- Primary school children experiencing increased anxiety and school avoidance
If you would like to discuss setting up a new group with us, please get in touch.
Our Current Open Groups
Our group therapy sessions offer a supportive space to connect and heal through the power of music. We’re always updating our group offerings to meet the evolving needs of our community. Check back regularly for the latest groups or sign up for our mailing list to stay informed about upcoming opportunities to join us!
Rachel's Songs
Rachel’s Songs is a weekly group for young adults with SEND or autism aged 17- 27. This group meets on Mondays in Waltham Forest and provides a space to explore the challenge of moving from children to adult services, build peer relationships and express freely, through music.
Established and funded in memory of Rachel Barnard, a close friend of Whale Song Music Therapy who worked with vulnerable adults providing support to those who needed it most as a social worker.
